About us
1. The dairy science department was established in the year 2010-11 at UG level
2. Department is granted by UGC considering reginal need.
3. I ,Asst. prof. S. M. Dapkekar, founder head of the department, joined as a CHB lecturer in the academic year 2009-2010.
4. Asst. Prof. Dapkekar S.M. took the charge as permanent Asst. prof. and HOD in the academic year 2012-2013.

Goals of Department
1.present status and scope of livestock industry and dairy industry in India.
2.Breeding, feeding, health, and hygiene and general management of livestock.
3.milk processing, production of dairy production, quality control, and marketing.
4. Entrepreneurial opportunities by exposing students to the world of work.
5. Identification and exploitation of own resources.
